Mineral filled polyamide

The modern level of production requires the use of polymers with improved performance characteristics. In this case, modification of widespread materials used in the market is especially relevant, which undoubtedly includes polyamide. Its mass use is conditioned by a valuable complex of operational properties - high strength properties (high tensile strength), high heat resistance, remarkable antifriction properties, excellent wear resistance and others. However, the use of polyamides in some cases is limited due to low dimensional stability and surface hardness, as well as a high coefficient of linear thermal expansion.

A highly effective way to improve these characteristics is to introduce mineral fillers into polyamide, which allow to regulate the processes of formation of supramolecular structure and, as a consequence, the properties of the resulting material.

Such a wide distribution of mineral-filled polyamide was obtained due to its unique physical and mechanical characteristics, which allow this material to displace some types of metals from various areas of production:

  • low coefficient of friction on metals;

  • high strength, even when working with abrasive particles;

  • polyamide is 7 times lighter than steel;

  • good resistance to alternating loads;

  • resistant to chemical influences;

  • polyamide can come into contact with drinking water and foodstuffs.
